A cocktail of three flu viruses are reported to have mutated into a single pneumonic plague, which it is believed may be far more dangerous than swine flu. The death toll has reached 189 and more than 1 million people have been infected, most of them in the nine regions of Western Ukraine.
President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko has called in the World Health Organisation and a team of nine specialists are carrying out tests in Kiev and Lviv to identify the virus. Samples have been sent to London for analysis.
President Yushchenko said: “People are dying. The epidemic is killing doctors. This is absolutely inconceivable in the 21st Century.”

4 months agoI am familiar with the Recombonics researcher. A real company with an approach that he promotes, this time with a bit more bombast than usual. I agree that it may well have more to do with upcoming elections in the Ukraine. Calling it a plague does ot make it so. It is part of the H1N1 swine flu pandemic, as far as anyone knows. The number of deaths is less than reported in Mexico. WHO will share whatever it finds soon as it has with all its findings. http://www.who.int/csr/disease/influenza/en/
4 months agoFunny, I was just reading about this about a half-hour ago. The main question is whether it is all hype or a real concern. Is it due to a poor health system, a population lacking in Vitamin D, or some “FrankenVirus”. I’ve always said that any government can create or use some object of fear to manipulate its population.
